 Purpose of Bearings 

Bearings are used to maintain a certain position in the geometrical axis of the rotating ot ascillating machine elements and allow smooth movement. In place of contact of the shaft or axle bearing reaction accurs in the foot. Depending on the direction of the reaction portion of the shaft with which it is based in the camp is called the neck or fifth, depending on whether activities gations on forces are directed radially (in the neck) or along the axis (the fifth).
