Spiral
These are heavy duty gaskets. They are manufactured by winding a V-shaped metal tape and a filler in between. They could have an inner or outer ring depending on the application.
Standard sizes:
Оval shape_____ ___ Elongated shape_
Types of designs
On request other shapes can be manufactured outside the standard program. Advantages:
With a metal envelope
These gaskets are especially suitable for sealing flat surfaces of heat-exchangers, gas pipes, cast iron flanges, autoclaves, etc.
Types of designs
Advantages:
- suitable for dynamic loads
- high resistance to blowing
Offered with different shapes depending on the application. Dimensions: outside diameter up to 4000 mm; thickness: from 2 to 12 mm
Flange gaskets impregnated with PTFE - Envelope type
Characteristics and applications:
These gaskets consist of a corrugated stainless steel insert, filled with soft non-asbestos material or rubber. The insert is wrapped in PTFE /teflon/ - one side is usually left ungreased, and it is the outer side.
Types of designs
Thanks to their high chemical resistance, good mechanical characteristics and constant resistance in atmosphere /humidity, gases, temperature changes/ the gaskets are suitable for use in various conditions, mainly for aggressive chemicals.
Advantages:
Thanks to the high stability of pure teflon they have outstanding chemical resistance. The combination of two or more inserted materials allows for a large number of applications.
Shape and design: A few types are manufactured for a larger range of applications. The standard shape is round and elliptical.
Envelope: pure PTFE /teflon/.
Basic material: stainless steel, non-asbestos material, rubber, etc.
Sizes: all flange gaskets with outside diameter up to 500 mm are whole, and those with larger sizes - composite, made by welding.
Elliptic gaskets are welded. There is no limit for the size of the welded gaskets.
